The Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity reported an even larger gain of 97,044 residents over the same period using its own population estimates. Maricopa County added more than 61,500 residents, while Phoenix, Surprise, Goodyear, Glendale, and Mesa were among the Arizona cities with the largest population gains.
